Since I’m participating in the Food Stamp Challenge (FSC) I might as well lay out my current eating and cooking habits.
Pasta and rice are my staples. I love my veggies and meat…but I’m not big on cooking my own beef or pork. Every once in a while, I’ll go for seafood like fish and shrimp. For the most part, I like simple dishes that can last a while. Since I’m always on the go, I never really know when I’ll have time to create my next dish, so it’s nice to have things that can freeze or refrigerate well. However, I don’t really like too much processed food and I’m working on eliminating sausage…but that’s a toughie.
I plan on making the usual dishes I’d normally eat. Also, I’ll be eating normal portions, which may either seem small or large depending on who’s reading. I’m 24 years old, 5’1″, and about 100 pounds…so technically, I don’t need all 2000 calories to keep me running…about 1200 will do at my Basal Metabolic Rate.
